Carlos is a cinematographer from the Canary Islands, currently based in Madrid.
From a young age, he began exploring the world of visual storytelling through painting and making videos with friends. This early passion led him to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Animation and Visual Effects. During his studies, he was captivated by the power of images to evoke emotions, which inspired his desire to become a cinematographer. He went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Cinematography at ECAM, graduating at the top of his class.
As a director of photography, Carlos has worked on a wide range of projects, including commercials, narrative short-films, music videos and documentaries. Several of these short-films have been awarded and selected at renowned festivals, earning him the Best Cinematography Award at the V Memorables Film Festival for the short film I Have Something to Tell You. Carlos thrives on exploring the possibilities of visual storytelling and adapts his style to different types of directors, always seeking the visual approach that best suits each project.
In addition to his cinematography work, Carlos has over five years of experience at the Emmy-winning visual effects studio El Ranchito, where he worked as a matte painting and concept artist on projects such as Society of the Snow and Halo.
